The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Khan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Medieval will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Khan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Medieval tries to buck Khan off but Khan is having none of it.

Khan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Khan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Khan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Medieval sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Medieval on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Medieval tries to get out of the position.

Khan tries to move to mount but Medieval blocks the move with his legs.

Khan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Medieval some visible discomfort.

Khan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Medieval!
Khan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Medieval keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
