The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perez showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Saber desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Saber is pressing down on Perez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Perez tries to free his leg and advance position but Saber is retaining full guard.
Perez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Perez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Saber keeps working.

Saber scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Perez manages to mount him!
