The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Asashoryu's calf.
Cole lands with an overhand left.
Cole throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Asashoryu thows a body shot but no joy.
Asashoryu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Asashoryu is breathing heavily.

Yokozuna Asashoryu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cole throws a head kick but Asashoryu moves out of range.

Cole cracks the inside of Asashoryu's front leg.
Cole lands a right hook to the body.
Asashoryu takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Cole keeps Asashoryu at a distance using the push kick.
Cole circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Asashoryu tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Cole wins by KO!
