The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fathy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Fathy sprawls well.
Fathy scores with a push kick.

and Fathy counters with a body kick.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones darts in trying to clinch
and Fathy counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fathy lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily.
Fathy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fathy connects with an inside leg kick.
Fathy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage!
Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Fathy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Fathy. Jones falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Fathy!

A relieved looking Sherif Fathy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
