Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amauro Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erick Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't no Sunshine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva moves into the clinch.

Silva has Nogueira pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nogueira tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Nogueira's guard.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Nogueira wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nogueira is on top in guard.

Nogueira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Nogueira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nogueira tries to score with some ground and pound. Silva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nogueira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nogueira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
