PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Seng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Chuin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remo WIlliams Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Seng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Master Chuin!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuin thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Seng if he has to take too many more of those.
Chuin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chuin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chuin pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Seng gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short uppercut from Seng.
Seng throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Chuin blocks an uppercut.
Chuin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Seng is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Chuin is trying to pull guard but Seng has him pressed against the cage.
Eddie Seng has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Master Chuin.

Chuin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Seng.
Chuin blocks an elbow strike from Seng.
Seng lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Seng tries to stall but Chuin uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Seng really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Chuin wants to work for an arm triangle but Seng is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Seng is staying active underneath Chuin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Seng on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Seng tries to get out of the position.

Chuin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Seng throws out the jab.
Seng fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Chuin is out of range.

Still in the clinch, Seng scores with a nice short uppercut.
Seng tries to land knees in the clinch but Chuin avoids the damage to the body.

Chuin wants to control from the top but Seng keeps moving.

Chuin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Chuin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Seng manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chuin has Seng in his guard.

Seng got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chuin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Seng has managed to get both his arms back between Chuin's legs - danger averted.
Seng will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chuin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Seng stacks Chuin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Seng!

Chuin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Chuin manages to get to full guard.

Chuin is looking for a triangle here but Seng uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The fighters are battling for position here. Chuin manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Chuin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Chuin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Seng is on top in guard.

Chuin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seng gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chuin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Master Chuin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Seng misses with the combination.
Chuin shoots in looking for a takedown. Seng tries to sprawl out of it but Chuin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Seng manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Chuin looks for the body kick but Seng saw that one coming.
Seng misses with a looping right.

A telegraphed right hand from Seng misses the target.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chuin checks a leg kick.

Chuin forces Seng back against the cage and clinches.
Chuin wants to take the fight to the mat but Seng manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Chuin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Seng clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Chuin goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Seng escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Chuin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chuin is pressing down on Seng's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chuin wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chuin is on top in guard.
Chuin looking to sit in guard and control but Seng gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Chuin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Seng avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Chuin keeping moving, preventing Seng from controlling successfully.
Eddie Seng has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chuin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Seng has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chuin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Seng is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chuin pulls down on the head and he's put Seng to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Master Chuin!
Post fight, Master Chuin stared into the camera and said 'Karate, Kung Fu, Ninjitsu... They are all but shadows! Sinanju is the sun.'.
