Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Plezts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is blood. Alex Plezts has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Plezts!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace clinches up against the cage.
Wallace throws a punch but it's blocked by Plezts.
Wallace lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Wallace makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A right handed body shot lands from Wallace.
A nice left hand lands by Wallace.
Wallace lands a hook that snaps the head of Plezts backwards.
A right hand to the body from Wallace.
Plezts looks gassed!
A short right from Wallace on the inside.
Wallace lands a right hand.
Wallace lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


Plezts is rocked!
Wallace lands a hook to the side of the head.
Plezts is still on wobbly legs! Can Wallace finish him?
Plezts tries to score a body lock takedown but Wallace shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Still in the clinch, Wallace scores with a nice short uppercut.

Wallace gets underhooks to prevent Plezts's takedown attempt.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wallace creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Plezts is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
William Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Plezts.

Plezts stands up and waves to Wallace to follow him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wallace looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Plezts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wallace's guard.

Plezts stands and steps away. Wallace gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Plezts shoots in but no luck this time.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Plezts swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Plezts shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wallace but Wallace pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Plezts wants a takedown.
Plezts drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wallace gets the underhooks and prevents it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wallace.
Plezts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wallace pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wallace wants to clinch up but Plezts keeps it at a distance.
Wallace moves in looking to clinch but Plezts pushes him off.
Wallace thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wallace tries to clinch up but Plezts circles away and keeps his distance.
Wallace fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Plezts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Plezts darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Plezts uses his free foot to push down on Wallace's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wallace.
Plezts connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Plezts has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Plezts is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wallace can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Plezts working for a submission but Wallace is keeping him at bay.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Plezts is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wallace has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wallace!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Plezts keeping moving, preventing Wallace from controlling successfully.
Plezts throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Plezts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wallace gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Wallace has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Plezts to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wallace is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Plezts pulls down on the head and he's put Wallace to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alex Plezts!
