Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Trudeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ruanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruanti moves out of range as Trudeau strikes.
Daniel Ruanti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Trudeau tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ruanti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Trudeau feints a jab promting Ruanti to slip. Trudeau then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ruanti slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ruanti pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ruanti feints and then cracks Trudeau's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Trudeau down.
Ruanti takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ruanti throws a solid leg kick but Trudeau takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ruanti.
A right-left combo lands from Trudeau.
Ruanti throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trudeau stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pierre Trudeau will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
