The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Worner is trying to defend but Penn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Worner is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Penn jumps into side control!
Penn has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Worner!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Worner can do anything to dispel that myth.
Worner tries to hold on but Penn pushes him away.
Worner tries to control Penn's body but Penn pushes him off. Worner squirms to his side and now Penn has his back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Penn has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Worner! Can he survive? No! He's out! Penn gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
