The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lar misses with a takedown attempt - Hantta sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lar tries to clinch there but Hantta circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Hantta. No joy for Lar on that attempt.
Lar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hannu Hantta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tobbe Lar.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lar throws a sloppy head kick and Hantta moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Hantta, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hantta goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Lar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lar wants to stand but Hantta is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lar stops Hantta from standing up.

Lar trying to control the position from guard on top but Hantta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hantta is looking to stand up but Lar isn't so interested in that idea.
Hantta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lar on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lar tries for a takedown but Hantta sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hantta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lar moves away.

and Hantta counters with a straight right hand.
Hantta lands with an overhand left.
Hantta avoids the head kick by Lar.
Lar swats away the attempt to clinch by Hantta.

and Hantta counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Lar is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hantta lands with a big right hook that stumbles Lar - he's out on his feet here! Hantta follows up with another monster hook that separates Lar from consciousness! Lar falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Hantta stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
