Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diadante thows a body kick. Rodrigues tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Rodrigues throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diadante.

Rodrigues gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Diadante pushes off an throws an elbow but Rodrigues leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Diadante tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Rodrigues is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Diadante gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Rodrigues jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diadante walks away with a smile on his face. Rodrigues gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Rodrigues changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diadante tries to avoid it but Rodrigues manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diadante to the ground. Diadante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A head kick from Diadante lands but Rodrigues takes it in his stride.
Diadante lands a right hook to the body.
Rodrigues takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Diadante tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rodrigues takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Diadante throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodrigues is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Diadante closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Diadante comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rodrigues closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodrigues tries to stand and escape but Diadante is controlling the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Diadante really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigues. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rodrigues slips a nice elbow through Diadante's hands, connecting with Diadante's forehead.
Diadante tries to roll over but Rodrigues keeps him under control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Diadante manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Rodrigues is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rodrigues sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Diadante fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rodrigues, pushing him back against the cage.
Diadante is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rodrigues drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diadante gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diadante is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rodrigues is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Diadante to the mat. Diadante regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Diadante seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Diadante displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rodrigues throws out the jab.

That was a close second round but I would say that Guilherme Rodrigues will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rodrigues tries for a takedown but Diadante sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Juan Diadante seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Guilherme Rodrigues.
I think Rodrigues has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
