Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Egor Egor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rio Takatashi!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takatashi tries to sprawl but Egor drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Egor is looking to take a break and control but Takatashi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Takatashi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Egor is keen to just control but Takatashi is a slippery customer.
Egor is stalling here. Takatashi is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Egor seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Takatashi has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Egor struggling a bit here.

Takatashi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Egor rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Takatashi's guard! Nice work there by Egor!
Egor throwing strikes but missing.

Egor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Egor stays in close to Takatashi's body and controls the position.

Takatashi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Egor wants to pass the guard but Takatashi is keeping the position.
Egor has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Takatashi working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Egor has passed into half guard!
Takatashi regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Egor.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takatashi can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Egor trying to control but Takatashi is working from the bottom.
Egor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Takatashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Egor defends well.
Egor working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Takatashi has his foot on Egor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Egor works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takatashi is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Egor has his hands clasped together but Takatashi extends an breaks Egor's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Takatashi.
