PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Meat Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loaf comes to the cage accompanied by War is my destiny. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loaf looks to land a left hand but Tatum moved out of range nicely.
A solid leg kick lands there for Loaf.
Tatum throws a looping overhand right but Loaf ducks down to avoid it.

Loaf connects with a nice looking jab.
Loaf throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Loaf ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatum moves away.

Tatum shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Loaf napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Loaf might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tatum not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Loaf kicks Tatum off and gets back to his feet.

Loaf closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Loaf tries to work over Tatum's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Tatum prevents a body shot from Loaf.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Loaf.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Loaf closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Loaf thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Loaf seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tatum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tatum is pressing down on Loaf's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Tatum had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Loaf defends it easily.

Loaf got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tatum has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Loaf has managed to get both his arms back between Tatum's legs - danger averted.
Loaf slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loaf wants to control but Tatum is keeping him busy.

Loaf has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tatum is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Loaf creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Loaf digs a right hand into Tatum's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tatum's gas tank.

Loaf makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Loaf is trying to push Tatum away but Tatum has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Tatum tries to pull guard but Loaf forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tatum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loaf can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tatum is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Loaf wants to pass the guard but Tatum is keeping the position.
