Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafal Kozak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutu Kalio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kozak comes to the cage accompanied by Kazik 12 groszy. The key to victory for Rafal Kozak has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rafal Kozak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brutu Kalio! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozak misses with a series of wild punches.
Kozak clobbers Kalio with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Brutu Kalio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalio throws a body punch but Kozak moves out of range. Kalio doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kalio avoids the body shot from Kozak.
Kozak tests Kalio's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kalio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kozak. Kozak lands a nice hook to Kalio's body. Kalio takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kalio tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kozak swivels and escapes. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kozak. Kozak lands with a good body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kozak moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kalio throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kozak. Kozak cracks Kalio with a right hand to the side of the head. Kozak lands a body shot.

It looks like Brutu Kalio has been cut. Kozak instigates a clinch. Kalio has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kozak clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kozak rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kozak wants to improve his position but Kalio is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kalio connects with a nice short shot to Kozak's temple. Kozak works his way to full guard. Good work. Kozak pulls Kalio in to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalio trying to control the position from guard on top but Kozak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kalio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kozak swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kozak trying to keep a closed guard but Kalio is proving a slippery customer.
Kalio missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kozak has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rafal Kozak. Kozak dips to his left and cracks Kalio with an uppercut! Kozak lands with an overhand left. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kalio tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kozak was well out of range. Poor timing from Kalio. Kalio tries for a takedown but Kozak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kalio rushes Kozak and presses him up against the cage. Kozak blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Kozak lands a hook that snaps the head of Kalio backwards. Kozak lands with a left to the head. Kozak misses with some punches.
Kalio wants a takedown.
Rafal Kozak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutu Kalio. A body shot lands from Kozak.
Kozak lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kalio backwards. Kozak lands a right hand. Kozak lands a shoulder strike. Kozak gets through Kalio's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kozak lands a left hand.
Kozak tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kalio's elbow. Kozak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kozak manages to end up in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kozak controlling from the full mount. Kalio is looking to improve his position but Kozak isn't that keen on the idea. Kozak sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kozak is trying to take his opponent's back.
Kozak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kalio is looking to escape. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kalio is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rafal Kozak dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brutu Kalio's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kozak connects with a body shot that sends Kalio's belly button to the back. Kozak takes a swing at Kalio's ribcage but misses. Kozak stuffs the takedown. Kozak is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Kalio uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kozak.
Kalio ducks right into an uppercut from Kozak. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kalio. Kozak's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kalio under the eye. Kalio tries to work over Kozak's front leg with a kick but Kozak checks it. Kozak is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kalio can do to turn this around? Kozak dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kalio takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That has opened up Brutu Kalio's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kozak passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kalio is still in real trouble! Can Kozak finish him? Kozak controls the position. Kozak wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kalio, who protects the arm well. Kalio seems to have recovered his senses. Kozak is looking to take a break and control but Kalio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kalio gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Kozak controlling the position easily from mount. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kalio is squirming around, avoiding Kozak's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kozak is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kalio is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kalio slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kalio is concentrating on defense, preventing Kozak from advancing position. Kalio is in trouble now - Kozak has advanced to mount! Kozak moves to the back position. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozak avoiding Kalio 's attempts to control his hands. Kozak is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

We're going to have a standup here because Rafal Kozak wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Kalio steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kozak.

Kozak leaves Kalio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kalio slips a jab from Kozak. Kalio on the wrong end of a nice hook. Kozak uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kozak lands a jab to Kalio's midsection. Kozak cracks Kalio with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rafal Kozak is winning the standup battle so far. Kalio is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kozak dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kalio walks into a stiff left hand from Kozak.
The cut above Brutu Kalio's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kozak cracks Kalio with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kozak circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Kalio to the canvas! Kalio doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kozak keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
