Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spencer McHaggis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McHaggis misses with a jab, cross combination.
McHaggis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lesnar. McHaggis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lesnar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Lesnar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lesnar misses with a low kick. McHaggis shoots in and drives through. Lesnar sprawls well. A combination from Lesnar does no damage. McHaggis moves out of range of the leg kick from Lesnar. McHaggis misses with the combination.
Lesnar tries to clinch but McHaggis is having none of it. McHaggis is looking to clinch. McHaggis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lesnar to the ground. McHaggis is now in Lesnar's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McHaggis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McHaggis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lesnar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McHaggis, into his guard. McHaggis looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lesnar passes into half guard.
Lesnar decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. McHaggis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McHaggis tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lesnar counters by clinching up. McHaggis is trying to break the clinch but Lesnar is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar has McHaggis pressed against the cage, preventing McHaggis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A nice left hand lands by Lesnar.
Lesnar gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McHaggis.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spencer McHaggis. That's going to take a lot out of him. McHaggis cracks Lesnar with a nice body shot. McHaggis wants to break the clinch but can't.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McHaggis misses with a series of wild punches.
Lesnar moves into the clinch successfully.

Eric Lesnar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lesnar clinches up with McHaggis and pushes him back against the cage. Lesnar stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Lesnar slowing the pace effectively. Lesnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lesnar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McHaggis paws at him with a jab and circles away. McHaggis scores with the left hand. Lesnar knows he should have avoided that one. McHaggis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lesnar tries to clinch but McHaggis is having none of it. McHaggis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lesnar's sensitive parts. McHaggis is looking to clinch but Lesnar is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lesnar wants it to stay on the feet. Eric Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lesnar throws a chopping leg kick but McHaggis manages to avoid taking any serious damage. McHaggis misses with a series of wild punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McHaggis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesnar pinned against the cage. Lesnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McHaggis doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lesnar makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. McHaggis is breathing heavily. McHaggis checks a low kick from Lesnar. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McHaggis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lesnar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Some wild striking there from Lesnar.

Lesnar tries to close the distance and clinch up but McHaggis swats him away and circles back towards the center. Eric Lesnar seems to be getting the better of the standup. A looping hook to the body misses from McHaggis. Lesnar does a little dance to reset his feet. McHaggis connects with a high kick. Lesnar pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. McHaggis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lesnar circles away.

McHaggis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lesnar. Lesnar misses with a leg kick and McHaggis counters with a right hand to the body. Lesnar tries to bum rush McHaggis with a series of wild strikes but McHaggis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McHaggis tries to clinch up. McHaggis pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lesnar back to the cage. McHaggis follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lesnar!
Lesnar is breathing heavily. McHaggis is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Lesnar like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Lesnar from another fist facial!
