The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Monroe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Monroe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cyran defends it nicely.
Cyran circles away from the clinch attempt.
A good leg kick by Cyran.
Jacob Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monroe shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Monroe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cyran fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Monroe.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Monroe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cyran sprawls well. Cyran wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Monroe gets slowly back to his feet.

Monroe is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Look low, kick high! Cyran uses the oldest trick in the book to send Monroe tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Cyran is absolutely delighted - when Monroe wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
