Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Hardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brynden Tully!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy slaps away a takedown attempt from Tully, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Tully shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tully wants to free his trapped foot but Hardy is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tully passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hardy!
Hardy really wants to buck Tully off and get back to his feet.
Tully fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Tully controlling from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tully gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Tully manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hardy on his heels. He'll look to pass Hardy's guard now, I'm sure.
Hardy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tully is controlling him.
Hardy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tully on the ground.

Tully decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hardy, up you get!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tully has a takedown stuffed.

Hardy gets caught flat footed, as Tully shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tully won't allow Hardy to get back to his feet.
Tully trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.
Hardy can't keep his opponent in guard - Tully advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Tully passes to full mount!
Tully dominating with strikes here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Tully working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hardy turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tully off and cradles Hardy's limp body as Tully celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Brynden Tully!
A very excited looking Brynden Tully made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
