Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rob Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart has chosen Motherlover as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Schultz !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Stewart!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart defending well as Schultz loads up on a big left hand.

and Schultz counters with a single leg into guard. Stewart didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Schultz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stewart connects with a nice short shot to Schultz 's temple.

Stewart tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schultz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stewart somewhat.

Schultz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stewart's waist but Stewart gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schultz off to one side.

Stewart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schultz tries to avoid it but Stewart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schultz to the ground. Schultz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tony Stewart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tony Stewart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Stewart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schultz tries to avoid it but Stewart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schultz to the ground. Schultz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stewart lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tony Stewart is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Stewart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
