Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McCranky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Enweave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy McCranky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Enweave! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Enweave. McCranky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McCranky connects with a nice short shot to Enweave's temple. McCranky sitting and controlling from the half guard. McCranky not landing any meaningful shots this time. McCranky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Enweave actively working from the bottom here. McCranky slows the pace down in half guard. Enweave looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Enweave looks gassed! Enweave wants to improve his position but McCranky is controlling well.
McCranky content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCranky is keen to just control but Enweave is a slippery customer. McCranky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Enweave's head.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McCranky is looking to clinch. McCranky shoots for a double leg takedown but Enweave sprawls well. He's pushed McCranky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McCranky shoots in looking for a takedown. Enweave tries to sprawl out of it but McCranky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Enweave manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Enweave darts in trying to clinch and McCranky counters with a nice double leg into guard. Enweave keeping moving, preventing McCranky from controlling successfully. McCranky slips nicely into half guard. McCranky takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Enweave on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. McCranky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Enweave with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Enweave looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. McCranky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Enweave gets full guard. Enweave wants to get back to his feet but McCranky is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Enweave trying to keep a closed guard but McCranky is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Enweave avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McCranky. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCranky not landing any meaningful shots this time. McCranky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Enweave's head. Enweave trying to control here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McCranky misses with a body kick. Enweave instigates a clinch. Enweave breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Enweave drives through and clinches with McCranky against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Enweave goes for a takedown attempt but McCranky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
McCranky gets in close and instigates a clinch. McCranky decides to pull guard. Enweave stopping the sweep attempt from McCranky. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McCranky holds on and takes a little breather. McCranky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy McCranky dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
McCranky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Enweave paws at him with a jab and circles away. McCranky tries to close the distance and clinch but Enweave swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A clash of legs there as McCranky blocks the low kick. Enweave darts in trying to clinch and Enweave takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McCranky circles away from the clinch attempt and McCranky counters with a shoot takedown. Enweave fights it but they end up in guard. Enweave wants to sweep but no luck. McCranky trying to control but Enweave is working from the bottom. McCranky wants to pass the guard but Enweave is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Enweave is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCranky working some strikes from top position. Enweave manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Enweave tries to control but McCranky wriggling away. Enweave wants to finish this one by submission but McCranky is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Enweave. McCranky tries to hold on but Enweave postures up. Enweave looking to control but McCranky is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McCranky swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. McCranky is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Enweave trying to control but he's not successful this time. McCranky tries to lock up and control but Enweave gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. McCranky regains half guard. Enweave is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McCranky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Enweave.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCranky manages to get to full guard.

Enweave thows a big elbow that misses. Enweave preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCranky is on top in guard.
McCranky tries to free his leg and advance position but Enweave is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McCranky controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Enweave keeping moving, preventing McCranky from controlling successfully. Enweave working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McCranky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Enweave is tightening it up a little... McCranky has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! McCranky reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! McCranky taps out! nice BJJ there by Enweave!
