The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santan closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sword counters with a takedown into side control.
Sword looks up at the clock and then as Santan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sword smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Santan looking for a sweep but Sword has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Santan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sword lands a big elbow.
Sword loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Santan scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sword land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sword stands and salutes the crowd.
