Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson Alves!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Stone throws a hook to the side of Alves's head but Alves sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stone scores with a takedown into Alves's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stone throws a big right hand that misses.
Stone trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Alves manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Alves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stone keeping full guard, as Alves tries to pass.

Alves drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alves has Stone in his guard.
Alves wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Alves can't keep his opponent in guard - Stone advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Stone passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone looking to control but Alves is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Stone looking to finish Alves with some ground and pound. This is bad for Alves!

Alves is rocked!

Stone working for a submission but Alves is keeping him at bay.
Alves is still in real trouble! Can Stone finish him?
Stone drops a big elbow. That's hurt Alves! More shots from Stone and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
