The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shorey shoots in and gets a takedown into Rabbit's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shorey gets to his feet - Rabbit follows without any prompting.
Shorey plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Cottontail Rabbit has been cut.

Shorey has taken the fight to the clinch.

Shorey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rabbit has eaten all the pies!

Shorey stands and steps away. Rabbit gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Shorey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Rabbit's face as Shorey controls the position.

Rabbit wants to get back to his feet.

Shorey decides to stand back up.
Lance Shorey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shorey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rabbit's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
