PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Donkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Perfect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that King Donkey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily King Donkey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donkey looks for the body kick but Perfect saw that one coming.
Donkey throws a head kick but Perfect moves out of range.
Donkey wants to clinch up but Perfect keeps it at a distance.

Donkey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Perfect has one of Donkey's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perfect throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Perfect stops Donkey from passing to mount.

Perfect bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Perfect looks to land a combination but Donkey avoids it well.

Perfect rushes Donkey and presses him up against the cage.
Donkey is looking to control Perfect 's arms but Perfect gets an underhook and turns him. Now Donkey has his back to the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donkey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Perfect just stands there and leans against the cage.
Donkey managing to block the knees to the body from Perfect .
Donkey tries a knee to the head but Perfect blocks it.

Perfect 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Donkey looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Perfect is trying to control the position but Donkey postures up.
Perfect wants to stand and escape but Donkey is having none of it.
Donkey won't allow Perfect to sweep him here.
Donkey is looking to stand up but Perfect won't let him.
Perfect is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Perfect is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Donkey defends well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Donkey lands a couple of digs.
Perfect pulls Donkey in close to prevent any damage.
Donkey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Perfect is trying to control the position but Donkey postures up.

Mr Perfect has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Donkey looking to score a takedown here. Perfect is defending well but Donkey drives through and ends up in Perfect 's guard.
Perfect has a closed guard, preventing Donkey from standing up.

Perfect is looking for a triangle but Donkey pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perfect is on top in guard.
Donkey looking for a sweep. Not yet Donkey, not yet.
Donkey wants to get back to his feet but Perfect is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Perfect with a flurry of punches that miss.
Donkey is trying to keep Perfect in close.
Perfect passes Donkey's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Donkey is controlling Perfect 's trapped leg to prevent Perfect from advancing to side control.

Donkey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Donkey is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Perfect decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mr Perfect will probably get the nod.
That's time! Donkey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Donkey scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Perfect is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Donkey has his hands clasped together but Perfect extends an breaks Donkey's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Perfect .
