PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Kopstoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman has chosen Rollin by: Limp Bizkit as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eric Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopstoot pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Freeman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kopstoot moves out of range of the body kick.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Kopstoot and Freeman goes tumbling to the canvas! Kopstoot follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Freeman is rocked!

It looks like Eric Freeman has been cut.
Kopstoot wants to get back to his feet.
Freeman is still in real trouble! Can Kopstoot finish him?
Freeman pushes Kopstoot off but Kopstoot dives into side control.
Freeman seems to have recovered his senses.

Kopstoot decides to stand back up.

Kopstoot scores a takedown into full mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Freeman tries to hold on but Kopstoot postures up.
Kopstoot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Freeman on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Freeman is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Freeman is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kopstoot gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Freeman ducks straight into an uppercut from Kopstoot and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Freeman maanges to regain guard straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Freeman wants to get back to his feet but Kopstoot is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Freeman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kopstoot stops Freeman from standing up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Freeman is working an open guard so Kopstoot takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kopstoot throws a low kick but Freeman avoids it.
Kopstoot throws an overhand right that lands on Freeman's shoulder, as Freeman tries to avoid the shot.
Kopstoot is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Freeman hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
