Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Vasilyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilyev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vasilyev goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Malone turns into him and now he's in Vasilyev's guard.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vasilyev lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Malone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Malone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vasilyev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Vasilyev has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Malone off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Malone with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vasilyev to score with a decent uppercut.

That was a close round but I would say that Karl Malone will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vasilyev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Malone is working away from the top position though.

Vasilyev is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Malone rolls with it to try and escape but Vasilyev cranks on the arm and Malone is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
