The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaSorte scores with a jab to the head.
LaSorte looks to throw the jab but Felipe is out of range.
No joy there for LaSorte, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Felipe closes the distance and clinches up with LaSorte, looking for a takedown. Felipe pushes LaSorte against the cage but LaSorte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Felipe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LaSorte avoids it really well and circles away.
Jean LaSorte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Felipe fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Felipe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
LaSorte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Felipe moves away.
Nice sprawl there from LaSorte as Felipe shoots in.
LaSorte misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Felipe misses with a few strikes there.
LaSorte lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Felipe circles away quickly and effectively.

LaSorte lands a left and a right that send Felipe crashing to the mat, dazed. LaSorte thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

LaSorte batters Felipe with a massive right followed by a huge left! Felipe is out on his feet looking like a zombie as LaSorte lands a final crushing right hand to drop Felipe to the mat with a gruesome thud! LaSorte is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
