Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sosna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Lovehall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Julius Lovehall!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosna fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lovehall wants to clinch up but Sosna keeps it at a distance.
Lovehall misses with a body shot.

Lovehall darts in and clinches Sosna up against the cage.
Sosna tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lovehall smiles and moves away.
Sosna fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Sosna fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lovehall on the side of the head.

Lovehall is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Sosna reverses the position - he's now on top in Lovehall's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Julius Lovehall wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sosna circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lovehall shoots in looking for a takedown but Sosna manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lovehall's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sosna is defended easily by Lovehall.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lovehall.
Lovehall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sosna's waist but Sosna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lovehall off to one side.
Lovehall tries to close the distance and clinch but Sosna swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sosna manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lovehall manages to get himself to full guard.

Lovehall dives in and grabs Sosna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sosna pushes down on Lovehall's head and hops out.

Lovehall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sosna controls Lovehall momentarily but Lovehall frees himself.

Lovehall wants to stand but Sosna is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lovehall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sosna. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sosna tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jan Sosna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julius Lovehall.
Lovehall tries to clinch but Sosna moves out of range.
Sosna leaves Lovehall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sosna shoots in looking for a takedown. Lovehall tries to sprawl out of it but Sosna keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lovehall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lovehall is trying to drag Sosna to the mat but Sosna just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lovehall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sosna pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sosna has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lovehall changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sosna fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lovehall tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sosna swivels and escapes.
Sosna looks for a takedown but Lovehall sprawls well.
Lovehall fails to land with a series of punches.
Julius Lovehall seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Sosna shoots in and bounces Lovehall off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lovehall keeping moving, preventing Sosna from controlling successfully.
Sosna passes Lovehall's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sosna throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Lovehall wants to improve his position but Sosna is controlling well.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sosna moves into full mount! Lovehall won't be happy about that!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lovehall tries to hold on but Sosna pushes him away.
Lovehall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jan Sosna.
I think Lovehall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
