The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooter throws a big shot that misses.
Funkyama throws a body kick that misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Cooter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Funkyama checks a leg kick.
Cooter tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Funkyama is able to avoid easily.
Randal Cooter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cooter throws a head kick that Funkyama semi-blocks.
Funkyama throws a head kick but Cooter moves out of range.
Cooter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Funkyama takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cooter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Funkyama was well out of range. Poor timing from Cooter.
Cooter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Funkyama sprawls well. Funkyama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cooter gets slowly back to his feet.

Funkyama uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cooter.

Cooter throws a front kick aimed at Funkyama's knee but Funkyama avoids it well.
Funkyama takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cooter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Funkyama lands a big head kick that sends Cooter tumbling to the mat! Funkyama takes a step backwards and waves Cooter back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Randal Cooter has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good leg kick by Cooter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Funkyama throws a powerful right kick. Cooter tried to block low but the kick was high! Cooter was taken right off of his feet! Funkyama jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
