Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Pertwee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Harry Callahan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pertwee throws a wild body kick that Callahan sees coming a mile off.
Pertwee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


It looks like Jon Pertwee has been cut.
Pertwee misses with a series of wild punches.
Callahan misses with a hook.
Pertwee gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Callahan.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pertwee.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pertwee fails with a takedown attempt.
A slow jab from Callahan misses its intended target.

Pertwee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pertwee looking to sit in guard and control but Callahan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Pertwee is pulling down on Callahan's head. It's preventing any offense from Callahan, at least for the moment.
Callahan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Callahan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pertwee is keeping the position for now.

Pertwee manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Harry Callahan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pertwee dodges the punch combination from Callahan.
Pertwee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pertwee shoots in for a takedown but Callahan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Pertwee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pertwee shoots in and gets a takedown into Callahan's guard.
Callahan keeping moving, preventing Pertwee from controlling successfully.
Callahan is trying to control the position but Pertwee postures up.

Callahan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pertwee is controlling him.
Callahan is trying to keep Pertwee in close.
Pertwee prevents Callahan from getting back to his feet.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Pertwee content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Pertwee with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Callahan trying to control the position.
Pertwee throws a big elbow that misses.
Pertwee with a nice head shot there.
Pertwee trying to control the position from guard on top but Callahan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pertwee tries to free his leg and advance position but Callahan is retaining full guard.

Pertwee wants to control from the top but Callahan keeps moving.
Callahan is trying to control the position but Pertwee postures up.
Pertwee stays in close to Callahan's body and controls the position.
Callahan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pertwee.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Callahan connects with the punch.
Callahan jabs Pertwee to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fighters circling - Callahan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pertwee on the wrong end of a nice jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pertwee on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Callahan digs a good body shot into Pertwee's ribs.
Pertwee is breathing heavily.
Callahan cracks Pertwee with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pertwee tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Callahan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pertwee is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Callahan!
