Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Ward!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raines misses with a head kick.
Raines looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Ward drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ward working the ground and pound from side control.
Ward throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Ward stands up and beckons Raines to his feet.

Ward shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ward was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Raines wants to control but Ward is having none of it.

Raines defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ward.
Ward working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ward working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Raines turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ward off and cradles Raines's limp body as Ward celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Albert Ward!
Albert Ward was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
