Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Alderman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Cider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Alderman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Paul Cider!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cider keeps the fight on the outside.
Alderman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cider avoids the head kick by Alderman.
Cider fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alderman throws a sloppy head kick and Cider moves out of range easily.

Cider gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Alderman missing with knees to the body.
Alderman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cider.
Alderman using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cider has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Alderman misses with a knee to the head.
Alderman pushes Cider back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Alderman misses with a knee to the head.
Cider has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alderman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Joey Alderman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Cider.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cider tightens his grip and picks Alderman up, before dumping him to the ground. Alderman manages to land in guard.

Cider looking to sit in guard and control but Alderman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Alderman stands up from Cider's guard - Alderman perhaps looking for a knockout.
Alderman wants to clinch but Cider slips to the side

and Cider counters with a shoot takedown. Alderman fights it but they end up in guard.

Cider drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cider jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cider wants to pass the guard but Alderman is keeping the position.

Alderman wants to get back to his feet but Cider is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cider wants to get up but he can't break Alderman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cider trying to control but Alderman is working from the bottom.
Cider looks gassed!
Cider wanted to stand there but Alderman had control of the position.
Alderman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cider on the ground.
Alderman is looking to stand up but Cider isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Alderman tries to clinch but Cider is having none of it.
A right-left combo lands from Alderman.
A head kick from Alderman lands but Cider takes it in his stride.
Joey Alderman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cider moves into range and clinches up with Alderman.
Cider has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alderman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cider drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Alderman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Alderman tries to stall but Cider uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cider has Alderman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Alderman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Alderman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cider.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Alderman slows down the pace here.

Cider misses with a short punch on the inside.
Cider scores with a knee to the head.

Cider manages to pull guard.
Alderman postures up.
Cider wants to sweep here but Alderman controlling him for the moment.
Cider will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Cider is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alderman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cider.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Alderman is not content to let Cider control the position.

Cider gets to his feet. Alderman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cider is working for takedown but Alderman is calmly controlling the position for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cider is on top in guard.

Cider has gone for a leg lock! Alderman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cider's guard.

Cider is looking to take a break and control but Alderman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Alderman wants to get back to his feet.
Cider wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alderman keeps working.

Cider decides to stand up, so the ref orders Alderman to his feet.
Cider closes the distance and clinches up with Alderman, looking for a takedown. Cider pushes Alderman against the cage but Alderman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alderman closes the distance but Cider moves to the side

and Cider holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alderman is pressed up against the cage. Cider has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alderman down to the mat. Alderman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Alderman tries to close the distance and clinch but Cider swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cider is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Paul Cider has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cider thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Paul Cider comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cider winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
