The crowd seem to be enjoying Valtonen's choice of entrance music: Thunderstruck . Reima Jokinen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valtonen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jokinen can pounce on him.
Jokinen lands a head kick. Valtonen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Valtonen shoots in for a takedown but Jokinen shows good takedown defense.
Valtonen takes a kick to the side of the head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valtonen is defended easily by Jokinen.

It looks like Toni Valtonen has been cut.
Jokinen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jokinen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Valtonen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Valtonen has hold of one of Jokinen's legs. Jokinen is fighting the takedown attempt but Valtonen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Valtonen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jokinen dives on top into guard.
