The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zimmerman crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ferguson - the referee stops the clock and Zimmerman gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ferguson. Zimmerman manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Zimmerman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferguson's waist but Ferguson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zimmerman off to one side.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zimmerman working for a guillotine from mount but Ferguson is in no mood to give up.

Zimmerman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ferguson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ferguson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zimmerman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ferguson is on top in guard.

Zimmerman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zimmerman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ferguson defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zimmerman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ferguson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zimmerman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ferguson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Zimmerman has cracked it and Ferguson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Zimmerman!

Dylan Zimmerman spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
