Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Griff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Says (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Simon Says was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griff shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Griff showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Griff drops an elbow to the side of Says's head.
Says keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Griff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Says on the ground.
Says regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Griff.
Griff trying to control the position from guard on top but Says is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Griff postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Says is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Griff is looking to work some ground and pound but Says has wrist control.
Griff has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Griff is stalling in the full guard.
Griff landing some decent shots from guard.
Says being controlled here, momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griff throwing strikes from guard but Says blocks nicely.
Griff slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Griff wants to control from the top but Says keeps moving.

Griff missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Griff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Says works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Griff cracks Says with a solid left hand.
Says keeping moving, preventing Griff from controlling successfully.
Says is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Says throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Griff slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Says is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Griff rolls with it to try and escape but Says cranks on the arm and Griff is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
