PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brad Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bradley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Fighter. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bradley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Bradley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bradley throws an overhand right that lands on Kelly's shoulder, as Kelly tries to avoid the shot.

Bradley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kelly on the side of the head.
Kelly tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bradley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kelly somewhat.

Bradley looks to clinch

and Kelly decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bradley's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bradley holds on and takes a little breather.

Bradley has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kelly is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bradley.

Bradley is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Kelly is staying tight to Bradley's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Bradley wants to control but Kelly postures up.
Kelly in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kelly is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bradley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bradley is looking for a sweep.
Bradley bucks up and tries to throw Kelly off but instead Kelly has got his back!
Bradley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kelly on the ground.

It looks like Kelly might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

I really don't envy Bradley right now.

Bradley is trying to get back to his feet but Kelly has full control of the position and if anything, Bradley has just worked his way into a worse spot.

A close round but Tim Kelly will probably get the nod.

Kelly lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kelly.

Bradley shoots in looking for a takedown but Kelly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bradley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brad Bradley will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kelly dives in and grabs Bradley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bradley pushes down on Kelly's head and hops out.

Kelly leaves Bradley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kelly keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bradley's efforts to push away.

Bradley is trying to push Kelly away but Kelly has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
