Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Arabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinkaram Hamzah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arabi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Genesis - Justice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arabi defending well as Hamzah loads up on a big left hand.
Hamzah takes a swing at Arabi's ribcage but misses.
Hamzah looks to land a combination but Arabi avoids it well.

Hamzah throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Arabi clobbers Hamzah with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Arabi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hamzah but Hamzah pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hamzah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Arabi.
Hamzah misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Arabi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Sinkaram Hamzah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hamzah.
Arabi sizes up Hamzah with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Arabi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Arabi lands in his opponent's guard.

Arabi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hamzah looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hamzah looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hamzah!
Arabi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Arabi is pressing down on Hamzah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hamzah controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hamzah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arabi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Arabi looking for a triangle here. Hamzah is fighting it but it looks tight! Arabi pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hamzah is tapping out - this one is all over!

Gaius Arabi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
