Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Arousey!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Lucas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice takedown defense from Lucas. No joy for Arousey on that attempt.
Arousey swats away the attempt to clinch by Lucas.
Lucas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lucas throws an overhand right that lands on Arousey's shoulder, as Arousey tries to avoid the shot.

and Lucas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Arousey looks to land a right hand but Lucas moved out of range.
Lucas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lucas throws an off balance right hand
and Arousey counters with a solid body kick.
Arousey throws a looping overhand right but Lucas ducks down to avoid it.

Lucas forces Arousey back against the cage and clinches.
Arousey is looking to control Lucas's arms but Lucas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Arousey has his back to the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arousey stalling the fight.
Lucas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Arousey is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lucas is defending well.
Matthew Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Arousey.

Lucas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Arousey can't fight it off and eventually Lucas manages to take the fight to the floor. Arousey looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Arousey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lucas manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lucas is on top in guard.

Arousey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lucas's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lucas wants to control the position but Arousey says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Lucas is looking to improve his position.

Arousey looks to land a strike but Lucas avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Lucas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

It looks like Randy Arousey has been cut.
Lucas lands a nice shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lucas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lucas wants to control the pace but Arousey is squirming around nicely.

Randy Arousey's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Randy Arousey's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Matthew Lucas!
In his post fight interview, Matthew Lucas started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
