Rua ducks under a wild hook from Zdorovenniy.
Zdorovenniy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rua manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Zdorovenniy tries to close the distance and clinch but Rua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rua tries to bum rush Zdorovenniy with a series of wild strikes but Zdorovenniy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rua fails to land the takedown.
Zdorovenniy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rua, pushing him back against the cage.
Zdorovenniy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rua.

Zdorovenniy lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Mauricio Rua has been cut.
Zdorovenniy presses Rua against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Zdorovenniy connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rua's face.
Zdorovenniy has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Rua - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Zdorovenniy, and another! Rua is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
