Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Average!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fisher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Average has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fisher has managed to get both his arms back between Average's legs - danger averted.

Average escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fisher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Average working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fisher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fisher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Average will probably get the nod.
That's time! Average's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Average has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fisher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Average cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like John Fisher has been cut.

Fisher tries to reverse the position but Average maintains control.
Average with a couple of short strikes.

Fisher is in all sorts of trouble here.
Average misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Average closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Average, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
