The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Binyam gets a clinch.
Binyam could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nex has Binyam pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Binyam manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nex just leaning against Binyam, taking a breather.
Binyam is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Nex is keeping busy.

Nex breaks the clinch.

Binyam lands a left and a right that send Nex crashing to the mat, dazed. Binyam thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Nex is rocked!

It looks like Corpus Nex has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Binyam moves into the clinch.
Nex is still on wobbly legs! Can Binyam finish him?

Binyam jumps into guard, dragging Nex to the mat.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Binyam is on top in guard.
Binyam pushes down on Nex's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Binyam seems to be working for a kimura but Nex defends the submission attempt.
Binyam works his way into full mount!
Binyam sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Binyam looking to ground and pound but Nex is blocking nicely.
Binyam lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Nex! Binyam sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Nex and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
