The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Pico Rodrigo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rodrigo lands a high kick to the side of Combs's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Rodrigo dives into guard, looking to finish.

Combs is rocked!

It looks like Lhiner Combs has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Rodrigo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Oh Combs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Combs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Combs tries to get out of the position.

Rodrigo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rodrigo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rodrigo stands and throws Combs's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Rodrigo is trying to get an arm triangle but Combs is defending well.

Rodrigo has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Combs is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rodrigo yanks on the arm and Combs is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rodrigo.
