The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rogan throws a leg kick but De Souza sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Rogan thuds his right hand into De Souza's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
De Souza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogan.
Joe Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Souza jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Rogan clinches with his opponent.
Rogan lands a body punch in the clinch.
De Souza works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
De Souza throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Rogan throws a punch but it's blocked by De Souza.
De Souza tries to throw a body punch but Rogan avoids it by throwing De Souza back against the cage.
De Souza lands an uppercut.
De Souza misses with a punch to the body.

De Souza throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Rogan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rogan connects with a crisp jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by De Souza.
De Souza feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rogan's calf.
Rogan throws out a loose jab but De Souza uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rogan walks into a left hand.
Rogan thuds his right hand into De Souza's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Donk. Rogan catches De Souza right on the button with a cross.
Rogan misses the jab.
Rogan sizes up De Souza with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Rogan shoots in looking for a takedown. De Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Rogan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rogan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
De Souza throws a shot from downtown. Rogan moves away and avoids it.
Rogan misses the jab.
De Souza dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rogan. That did some damage!

Rogan throws a left that rocks De Souza and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rogan dives into side control, looking to finish! Can De Souza regain composure!

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Rogan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oh De Souza is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
De Souza is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rogan in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and De Souza looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Rogan turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
