Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sharp Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharp Dick looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Dick does no damage.
King closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dick circles away.
King fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.
King throws a leg kick but Dick checks it.
Dick leaves King with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

King drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dick pulls his leg out and moves away.

Dick tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
King looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dick is fending him off so far but King persists. Nope, Dick circles away and we're back to standing.
King takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Dick lands with a hook. King tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
King dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dick. That did some damage!

King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dick circles away quickly and effectively.
Dick throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dick keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

King takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dick is looking to wear down King with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Dick looks to land a combination but King avoids it well.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dick paws at him with a jab and circles away.
King goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A nice combination there by Dick.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
King slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dick pushes King away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, King gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

James King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dick tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dick to the ground. Dick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
King walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dick defends it nicely.

King misses with a takedown attempt - Dick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

King has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

King shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

King closes the distance and clinches up with Dick, looking for a takedown. King pushes Dick against the cage but Dick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
