Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evander Tripp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rude comes into the arena with Face fucked by PISSING RAZORS blaring out of the sound system. Tripp is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad Company - The Nine. Evander Tripp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Rude!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Evander Tripp!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rude pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rude swings for the body but Tripp moves out of range.
Rude moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rude looks to land a combination but Tripp avoids it well.
Tripp scores with a nice right hand.
Tripp fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rude avoids it really well and circles away.
Rude walks into a stiff left hand from Tripp.
Tripp takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rude digs a good body shot into Tripp's ribs.
Rude throws the left hand but Tripp avoids the punch easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rude lands with a right hand.
Tripp avoids the body shot from Rude.

Rude throws a hook but Tripp avoids it easily.
Rude throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rick Rude seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Rude does no damage.
Rude just misses with a punch to the body.
Rude's corner calls for a 1-2. Rude obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rude displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tripp throws out the jab.
Tripp takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rick Rude is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rude lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rude.
Tripp walks into a left hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tripp takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rude uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tripp.
Tripp thows a body shot but no joy.
Rude displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rude darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rude throws a looping overhand right but Tripp ducks down to avoid it.
Rude throws out a loose jab but Tripp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rude connects with a body shot.
Rude misses the jab.
Rude throws a lazy right hand but Tripp sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tripp tests Rude's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rude scores with the left hand. Tripp knows he should have avoided that one.
A big left from Rude misses.
Rude throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tripp takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rude is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Tripp misses with a two punch combination.
Rude throws a body punch but Tripp moves out of range.
Tripp dives in and grabs Rude's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rude pushes down on Tripp's head and hops out.
Rude loads up on a big right hand but Tripp slips the punch.
Tripp slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Tripp throws a jab when Rude was well out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rude lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed right hand from Tripp misses the target.
Rude looks to score with a jab to the body but Tripp is just out of range.
Rude misses with the combination.
Tripp fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rude avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tripp takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rude moves away from the strike by Tripp.
Rude slaps away a takedown attempt from Tripp, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rick Rude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evander Tripp.
Rude scores with a sloppy right hand. Tripp should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Rude dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A looping hook to the body misses from Rude. Tripp does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rude uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tripp.
Rude is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nice shot lands for Tripp.
Rude swings widly with a right hand
and Tripp counters with a two punch combo.
Tripp might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Tripp misses with a two punch combination.
Rude smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rude throws the left hand but Tripp avoids the punch easily.
Rude throws out a leg kick but Tripp moves out of range and Rude only half commits.
Rude throws a jab but it's blocked by Tripp.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rude moves out of range of the strikes.
Rick Rude is winning the standup battle so far.

Tripp closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rude quickly recovers to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tripp content to control rather than advance.
Rude trying to control but Tripp postures up.
Rude tries to roll over but Tripp keeps him under control.
Tripp thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rude's head.
Tripp wants to take a breather but Rude is having none of it.
Tripp missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Tripp is keen to just control but Rude is a slippery customer.
Rude has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tripp is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tripp works his way into full mount!
Tripp controlling his opponent.

Tripp punishing his opponent with strikes.
Tripp in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Rude on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rude tries to get out of the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rude tries to lock up and control but Tripp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
BOOM! Tripp connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rude is in a horrible position here. Tripp smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


Rude is rocked!
Tripp tries to control but Rude wriggling away.
Oh Rude is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tripp lands a big elbow - Rude is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Rude is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Evander Tripp!
Evander Tripp decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
