And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Machida is trying to work for a sweep but Munoz has mounted him!

Munoz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Machida to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Machida shrugs it off.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Munoz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Machida throws out the jab.
Machida dips to his left and cracks Munoz with an uppercut!
Machida misses with a hook. Munoz ducked under it nicely.

Munoz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machida swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Machida looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Munoz has picked Machida up and slammed him! Machida can't keep hold of the triangle and Munoz manages to pass to side control!

Munoz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Machida knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Munoz is looking to take a break and control but Machida is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
