Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harald Friedricksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Friedricksen has chosen The Pursuit of Vikings by Amon Amarth as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harald Friedricksen!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Friedricksen manages to avoid it.
Rogers throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rogers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rogers misses with a wild body shot.
A punch combination from Rogers misses.
Rogers fakes the leg kick and cracks Friedricksen in the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by Rogers!
Friedricksen tries to move into range but Rogers moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogers lands a really nice looking cross but Friedricksen seems unphased.
Rogers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Friedricksen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rogers fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Friedricksen.
Friedricksen looks gassed!
Rogers scores with a body shot.
Rogers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rogers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Friedricksen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Friedricksen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Rogers.
Rogers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rogers connects with a leg kick. Friedricksen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Donk. Rogers catches Friedricksen right on the button with a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rogers.
Rogers cracks the inside of Friedricksen's front leg.
Friedricksen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rogers scoring well with a low kick there.
Rogers buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rogers lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Rogers closes the distance and clinches.
Rogers lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Friedricksen.
Rogers lands a body shot in the clinch.
Rogers lands a hook to the side of the head.

Rogers works on Friedricksen's body with a couple of short punches.
Friedricksen being controlled against the cage.
Rogers can't find room to land a body shot as Friedricksen controls the action.
Friedricksen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Rogers tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Friedricksen's elbow.
Rogers lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Rogers lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Friedricksen backwards.
Friedricksen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rogers avoids it.

Still in the clinch, Rogers scores with a nice short uppercut.
Friedricksen is still on wobbly legs! Can Rogers finish him?
Rogers unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Friedricksen! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rogers is unloading with more strikes now! Friedricksen drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Rogers!

A very excited looking Steve Rogers made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
