The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Puffer.

Puffer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The fight stays on the outside here - Simpson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Simpson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puffer moves away.

Simpson throws a lazy right hand but Puffer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Simpson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Puffer on the side of the head.

Simpson shoots in and bounces Puffer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Oh Puffer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Simpson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Puffer quite badly. Puffer pulls Simpson in close trying to recover. Simpson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Puffer on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Puffer doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
