The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malinowski misses with an uppercut
and Renato counters with a straight right hand.
Renato lands a really nice looking cross but Malinowski seems unphased.
Renato slips a jab and a cross from Malinowski.
Malinowski takes a jab right on the kisser.
Malinowski on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Renato lands with an uppercut that bounces Malinowski off the cage and back into range.
Malinowski thows a body shot but no joy.

Renato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Malinowski sprawls well initially but Renato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Renato's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Renato winds up and cracks Malinowski with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Renato has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Renato is taking a breather. Malinowski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Renato is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Renato has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Malinowski's face.
Renato lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Malinowski is desperately trying to improve his position but Renato has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Renato has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Malinowski's face.
