Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between paihere dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sivra Lockra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockra tries to bum rush dawson with a series of wild strikes but dawson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
dawson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lockra paws at him with a jab and circles away.

dawson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

dawson is stalling here. Lockra is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! dawson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lockra has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lockra throws a series of punches but dawson moves out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lockra is in a horrible position here. dawson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

dawson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lockra can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lockra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. dawson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lockra swings around for an armbar but dawson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lockra's guard.

dawson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

dawson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lockra is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lockra tries for a takedown but dawson manages to get underhooks.
dawson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lockra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lockra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in dawson's guard.
Lockra is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

dawson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that paihere dawson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

dawson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lockra is looking for a sweep.
dawson is trying to ground and pound but Lockra uses the momentary lack of control by dawson to regain half guard.

Lockra is looking to control dawson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lockra avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Lockra moves into range and clinches up with dawson.

paihere dawson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lockra had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. dawson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lockra Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take dawson's back instead.
