Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Wiggin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiggin wants to clinch
and Nelson counters with a good low kick that Wiggin was not able to check.

Nelson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wiggin was covering up waiting for the punch and Nelson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wiggin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nelson is controlling him.

Nelson is looking to work some ground and pound but Wiggin has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nelson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wiggin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nelson manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nelson is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Nelson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wiggin tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wiggin takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Nelson counters with a single leg into guard. Wiggin didn't expect that.

Wiggin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nelson's guard.
Wiggin slips nicely into half guard.
Wiggin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wiggin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wiggin is looking for a kimura but Nelson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wiggin to get the leverage.
Nelson wants to get back to full guard.

Wiggin moves nicely into side control.
Nelson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wiggin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nelson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Wiggin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nelson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wiggin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Nelson counters with a series of strikes. Wiggin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Nelson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wiggin doesn't manage to clinch there - Nelson circles away.
Wiggin tries to clinch up but Nelson circles away and keeps his distance.
Andrew Wiggin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wiggin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Wiggin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


Wiggin is rocked!
Nelson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wiggin is still on wobbly legs! Can Nelson finish him?
and Nelson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Wiggin! He's just covering up as Nelson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Nelson!
Jake Nelson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
